re you an experienced Energy from Waste, Powerplant or Process Operations Shift Team Leader looking to take on a new challenge? If so Viridor are recruiting and are looking for individuals just like you!

Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Shift Team Leader for our Trident Park team in Cardiff, working 42.5 hours per week across a 4-on, 6-off shift pattern.

The ideal Shift Team Leader:

Engineering qualifications, preferably ONC / HNC (or equivalent)
Safety qualification, preferably IOSH or NEBOSH
Process or Power Plant experience
Experience in safe systems of work, safety rules, issuing Permits to Work / safety documentation and systems
Experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems

Shift Team Leader Responsibilities include:

Supervising the shift teams ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the ERF site, prioritising workloads to ensure maximum process efficiency.
Maximise waste input and energy output.
Organise shift cover when required, ensuring shift complement is maintained.
Flexible working requirements to achieve KPI’s.
Ensure that all activities within the plant are carried out in a safe manner in line with company policies
Manage the Safe System of Work as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP).
Carry out risk assessments to ensure activities are carried out in a safe manner.
Working with the management team striving for continual improvement in minimising Health, safety and environmental impacts at the plant.
